I fixed the right rear light circuit board problem by scraping some of the insulating film to extend the conducting area. I also used some duct tape to hold another socket in contact because of the mice modification mess.

Junkyard run today. Found and removed the passenger side sunroof track, so I can replace a broken arm in mine. Might have to replace the whole right side track if the arm can't be removed in situ. I could not get the whole sunroof frame / track assembly out of the car once it was dropped from the ceiling. I think they must install that unit before the windshield goes in, or maybe if the front seats are removed it would come out. Also grabbed a front drivers visor, since mine does the flippy floppy thing. Thought I'd found a couple of turbo axles, but apparently they were NA axles.
Try to learn life's bad lessons vicariously through others.

Glad you were able to get the track! I ended up selling the whole sunroof assembly from my parts car to a semi-local Volvo friend, and we had a fun time trying to navigate it out of the car. Wagons are MUCH easier to get them out of.

Today, I installed new TYC headlights on my S70. I still need to work on the aim. Weirdly, as I was trying to aim them, the bubble in the level is in the center on one, and way all the way to the end on the other, but the lights beams are hitting the wall at the same place. I couldn't adjust the left/right by hand. I needed an Allen wrench and didn't have one with me.

I popped all the clips off the OEM lights, and the reflectors weren't as bad as I had assumed. the passenger side, is actually in pretty good shape, but the glass is pitted. The driver's side is just dirty. If it can be cleaned without damaging the silvering it will be as nice as the passenger side. That glass is broken, and is why I needed to do anything at all. The reflector is also popped out of the adjusting socket.

I think my new turn signals are supposed to arrive on Friday. Passenger side is ok, but the driver's side is held in with clear packaging tape, for now.

I also changed the oil in my 850. I went with a 5qts of Valvoline's European Synthetic 5w40, and topped it off with about 1.5qts of Rotella T6, also 5w40. I removed a Champion Labs synthetic filter and installed a Baldwin, previously owned by Clarecor, and now part of Parker-Hannifin.

It looks like I've got some sort of oil leak on the 850. I saw oil splattered on the underside of the car. I'm not sure where it's coming from. Maybe the front main seal? I guess I should pull the timing belt cover.

Careful touching the reflectors with anything. Unless someone has managed it successfully with something I don't know about it will likely damage the old silvering. I have tried and only made it worse.

If you find a good option I'd love to know.

Yeah, usually just about anything will wipe the reflector coating right off.

I today as neighbours parks cars as they like randomly. i need reverse to fit in space but! i first time ever noticed that front passenger seat can be folded completely. I feel so stupid not notice those two little tabs at bottom ever before than now.

Now my car feels so much space to just jump backseats and exit other side where i left more space for neighbour to jump to his own car.

Well that side had a portion of the glass missing so it's been splattered with rain for quite some time. I had it taped up with clear packaging tape, but it still got wet. If it comes off, I won't be too disappointed since I already have new lights installed. It's a spare at this point. I've actually been considering offering the lights here, since they might be better than what some have.
