Volvo trivia. The only way to turn on the cruise light on the 99 00 dash is in VIDA. It doesn’t come on with the ch3ck bulb routine at KPII

Today I lifted the bonnet of the 850 for the first time since last September to check the fluid levels and everything was spot on. The engine hasn't been started since 30th September and won't be until I'm taking the car for an MOT Later next month. Bonnet now closed again for another month or so.

Thanks for the replies. Now that I've sorted out my instrument cluster, I need to figure out why my SRS light is staying on.

Or I just pull the bulb...

Did you pull out the cluster to do all that? Because when I replaced my cluster the SRS stays on and I need VIDA or a dealer to clear or re-set it.

Give me couple weeks so i can try add Cruise Control activation to CDM via App as someone asked it already. My bench CDM has its activated i need just go back route to see where its turned on..

If its same circuitry as ABS light where then it is direct control from SRS it stays on until SRS controls it turn off as otherwise it gets ground.

So can be connection issue between SRS and instrument cluster still existing there but i didn't yet confirm this in full detail.

On own today i noticed neighbor being stuck his car on parking area..
It didn't move at all and i couldn't push to make any budge at all not even millimeter if i tried by hand.
Snow has been now melting as temps been on positive side.
Volvo had no problem at all but i mostly say its up to tires as i have wider flat tires with studs and Toyota had no studs felt used (no so deep grooves) and more thin side and felt pretty heavy car when tried push..
With Volvo i gave was slight tap on gas as help and Toyota was out

.. i have pulled Nissan Kingcab 4x4 with snow plow out of deep snow which did slide off the path. More it was just give many times slight pulls to give momentum with Volvo. It was very late of night and i wanted to go home  .

I parked the S70 on the street for a few hours today so I could get my truck out of my driveway. I haven't had the S70 parked in the street all winter. I considered driving the 850 today, but when I got to the gas station I could see they still had salt all over their lot, so I was glad I didn't take it. We're supposed to be getting some nice warm weather, and hope fully we'll get some rain to wash all the salt away, too.

Yup, you seem to have all the lights. The blanks are either features your car doesn't have, lights that cars in your market don't have, or they are blank on all P80s.
We made subtle changes to make sure we can identify invading Canadians. The lambda symbol is changed to CEL , I think, the parking brake and Brake word is spelled out instead of being a symbol, we get OIL instead of the Alladin oil can…

I’ll have to find my ignition on post the match up…

Weather is certainly getting warmer now at a toasty 7°C today, the rain has stopped and the sun is shining so the 850 was pushed out of the garage into the daylight for a while to get some air round it

I have only seen that CD cubby once and still kick myself as I did not recognize it for what it was, or have time to pull it. You will now have to wait 25 more years for the carpets to bleach to the same colour......!
