Notes on removal
Get the batterY and air cleaner out and out of the way
The clutch master cylinder is bolted from rear to front with two m8 threaded fasteners, a 12 mm hex bolt on left and a 13 mm nut on right
Remove the metal clip from the white arm and remove it from the pedal Clovis
Now thw tough part. Th e brake booster needs to be loose to clear the master cylinder. The first three of these are m8 12mm heads and are medium to easy access. The upper left one is the spawn of Satan , I used a wobble and a deep socket to get it
The metal wire clip which fees the metal clutch hydraulic line can be seen with a mirror, pop it out then pull the hard line forward. Alternatively, you can free it up at the slave and guide the master out with the line attached.
Two people are good to guide the MC past the loose booster
Plan on three hours to get this off and a new one in and bled

If you lose either the metal clip in the master cylinder or down on the slave cylinder, you can order the part from FCP
Volvo Lock Brace
VOL-9181827
It is the same clip used on the lock brace hood strut I believe.

Thank you for pointing out that these clips can be ordered seperately. It took me a while to find the one I lost while parting out a 93 NA.
I am still debating if I want to reuse the old clutch master I pulled out of that NA that had been parked for years or use the new non OE master cylinder I got from Skandix. Seems like the OE master cylibder is NLA.
Removing the brake booster is a necessity. Let's see hiw tough getting the new one into my R will be when I finally manual swap it this winter...
