1998 V70 NA base - Would you use these mounts?

Hi,

As many know I help out with a young mum's V70 NA base with repairs. Have to keep spend down but have to balance it with the car has to be reliable. Normally I mostly use only Volvo OE parts on my own cars but have to make choices.

The engine pad/mount under the crank pulley has failed and I need to fix this ASAP as the car is needed. She is still using it but can
to let it go on too long.

There seems to be debate which mount it should have in terms of part number. Volvo list 7 part numbers for P80's. I think I can discount 4 due to C70 only references.

Chassis number is 385153. There is a part number break at 540000 which would then point to part # 8631698. Has anyone replaced this on a 98 P80 recently and happen to know this?

If this is the part number there are limited aftermarket parts. I don't see a Hutchison part. All I see are URO!!, possibly Meyle and Rein. I am waiting to confirm the OE part is still available. If it is the cheapest I can find it in Canada is $190 including shipping.

In Canada we only seem to have an option of URO for aftermarket. I would NEVER use this part from them.

I think have to import from US an choices then are Meyle and Rein. Either of these any good:

I have had limited success with these brands on rubber parts but maybe this part is good from them?

So you OK with a Rein mount on your cars? Rock Auto has it for the same price in CDN$ (40) and $20 CDN shipping.

I would buy from FCP but the guarantee is not worth it for us 'up north' as you have to ship the failed part back which in this part's case would not be far off the original price.

As always, I appreciate your offer of parts. Foggydogg is checking on good wheel lug-bolts for me as well for this car.

Otherwise I think the car is currently good with the exception of the LHF inner door handle. A buddy is checking his stock tomorrow for that and another mutual friend of the owner may also have one. Worst case 50% pricing at PnP Thursday assuming the only P80 is still there and has any parts left! LoL!!

Overall the car is in mechanically amazing shape with only 100,000 miles on it. No rust anywhere with nice thick undercoat from new on the underside! Car sat for 10 years in an old ladies garage with about 28,000 miles on it.
