Like title says....'01 S80 2.4 20v 125kw.
Engine have low mileage...only 150k km.
Can i use this engine in my '97 850 2.5 20v 125kw(B5254S) or do i need to use the head from my 850?
S80 engine have coil packs instead of cap & rotor in 850 so not sure that cap & rotor can be retrofitted to S80 engine.
I know that i need to use manifolds and throttle body from 850 but what else modification i need to do to make it work in 850?

We retrofitted a distributor to the P2 LPT engine (B5244T3) we used in my wife's '97 when we originally did the swap (It's COP now).
Are the holes there to bolt the dist cap down? They were there on the P2 LPT head.
We had to open up the end of the camshaft to get the rotor mount inserted and bolted down, but that was about it.
Other than that, you'll need the P80 RN front motor mount bracket and the passenger lower mount (that attaches to the subframe). Both are different RN vs N.

Now that I think on it, I'm not 100% sure on what that CVVT cam on the intake side is going to do.
I know on the single ex VVT turbo cars, if the VVT is not used, the cam stays locked at 0* and performs just fine that way, because the cam events are very close to those in the N motor turbos.
Not sure about the intake cam on the NA cars. Do you have any info on the cam events for your NA N motor?
I'm also not sure if the back end of the cam is going to have the provisions to mount the dist rotor mount. Do you have the motor handy to check?

Too much modifications and time involved...plus i never did that before.
I need to transfer everything from my engine to s80 engine...plus cap & rotor retrofitting.
I just don't have time for this.
