I am considering replacing the turbo in my V70. I believe that it has been seeping a little bit of oil for a while. The three best options seem to be a Mitsubishi OE from FCP Euro, a unit from Rotomaster, or a used one from Erie Volvo with under 100k. Does anyone have any experience with the last two options.
There also seem to be several Chinese options out there. Is that a result of Geely buying Volvo? Might one of those be a good option. Do they put this turbo on new engines?
Thanks,
Cedric

I installed a new cartridge in mine, comes all balanced, from the UK, $185 on ebay.
But oil leak is usually just the gasket at the top of the drain tube.
Swap out the seal at the bottom end of the drain too. $7 fix.
On mine the shaft was snapped in half.
Its much easier to just swap out the cartridge, no messing with the exhaust manifold.
