2000 Volvo V40 - Ignition Switch Question

Post by VolvoFredNY »

Hi All,

It looks like I'm finally having ignition switch issues, I guess it was just a matter until I joined that club. I'm going to order a new OEM one but wanted to ask those of you had done this install before how it went? Was it as simple as removing the plastic panel underneath the steering wheel and unplugging the connector and unscrewing that one screw? Does the key need to be in the cylinder when this is being done?

Here's a picture for reference.
