I can't find the tranny dipstick; any ideas? I had the fluid changed and flushed and now it is leaking. I just wanted to check the level before I took it back to have it repaired.

It is very hard to see because it's way down deep under all of the hoses at the front, right of the front of the engine...use a flash light or get outside in good lighting and you'll find the yellow, round top of it. There's also a clasp on it, so you almost need two hands....one to pinch and unclasp it and the other one to pull up...but no room for 2 hands, so you'll have to just get a hand in there and unclasp it and pull up with one. Volvo certainly didn't want us to fiddle with the tranny on these cars.

I had a local shop(HM motorsports) flush my trans, and refilled it, overfilled it I should say... I hear the fluid expands with heat, and comes out the top(dipstick). I would just take the car back and leave the liability with the shop, just in case.
