Gearbox fluid change questions.

I know that I have to drain and fill my gearbox- 147K - 2006 XC70. I have seen many of the videos, some say- "Drain and fill...then do it again and again". Other say to disengage the trans hose and do that method- This scares me- I fear that I will not be able to reconnect the hose properly. I would like to proceed with the latter...anyone have experience with disconnecting the hose and then re-attaching? Any detailed videos ? How much fluid will I need?
AND...I also have to tackle the wife's S60!!! Mine is the practice vehicle.

None of the videos below used the clear hose directly over the lower hose with O-Rings that comes from the transmission. Everyone shoves a tube into the radiator. Once you remove the lower hose just catch what comes out of the radiator. Have done too many flushes to count.

My suggestion is to acquire an extractor. I did a drain and fill today on a GS430 . Everyone knows I don't do DF but only complete flushes. No time for a full flush today . Have been extracting oil since mid 2019 I think.

Have both the 5.3L and 8.0L. Best to get the 9.3L so no stopping to pour dirty oil. Photos are for the oil extraction. Extracting the transmission fluid or oil from the pans are quick if you warm things up. Have pull the drain plugs before and the residual is negligible. I know, the use oil jug is expensive but it's convenient and very little mess.

Slight lift to get filter out. Cardboard with plastic bag from Lowe's to cover the car when transporting mulch. One grocery bag to catch the oil filter drip and another to cover it during removal. Not shown a moving blanket for laying down on. No jack stand as I can reach the filter without getting underneath. The tires are still on the ground.

We could wrench in it in port Jeff one weekend. If you have the orings for the trans hose, it will go back together easily

I pump out about three liters, replace with fresh. If you do this three times , you have refreshed about 90% !of your ATF
