Headlight bulb cap/cover 1970 V70

Post by AWDV70 »

I have a 2003 V70 AWD. I was changing the headlight bulbs and I took off the Bulb Covers/Access Caps, but didn't pay attention to which cover went over the low beam and which went over the high beam. One of the covers has a cloth vent on it and the other is solid plastic. One has the number C1 208 stamped on it and the other has C1 208*1. Anyone know which one goes over the high beam and which goes over the low beam?

the hotter light benefits from a cooling vent.

On my 2003 V70 (base model) the inboard, or high beam, headlights have a rectangular area that is covered by a very flexible plastic or thin rubber- not really a fabric type material. If I hold it up to the sun no light passes through. I doubt any air could pass through either. But then my car doesn’t have the most high intensity bulbs like some of the higher end cars.
