2004 xc70. appears though no confirmed yet I need a new converter. Trying to find a NON OEM as prices are stupid silly. Can anyone point me the direction of a NON OEM converter that people have had good luck with.

Following this as I would like to replace it on my car as well eventually. Hopefully someone chimes in. OEM cat is worth more than the vehicle. Also would like installation tips, looks like a pain.

$800 USD nearly for a Magnaflow!! WOW Cat prices have doubled in the past 2 years.

My problem isn't the flex as much as the big hanger, nothing is supporting it anymore except a plumbing strap. Don't think there's barely any metal left to weld to.

I would fabricate a new hanger and bracket, the cat body is quite hefty and not very difficult to weld.
you'd need to make the hanger and install the exh system so its all aligned, then tack weld the bracket, remove and finish the weld, there isn't much room for anything more than a tack whilst in place.
pay the man or pick up a cheap mig welder and start practicing.
