Anyone with experience or understanding on the function of and whether the CVVT Solenoid can be substituted with wiring work?

I'm not sure what you are asking? Are you asking if a CVVT solenoid can be replaced, then the answer is yes it can. If you mean, can you add a CVVT solenoid where it doesn't currently exist, that I have no idea if it is possible as not only is the wiring not part of the harness, but the software may not be written to recognise it. As you probably know the 99- NA engines have it on the intake and the turbos on the exhaust side. P2's have it on both?
