Youngest got her dream job down in West Village, she won’t take Shagg to NYC but she will move her personal stuff there!

It’s Leg 2 of the NYC Volvo-thon

She packed up the rest of her stuff, said goodbye to the College, and we caught the 8 pm ferry to Port Jefferson , with Dog.

I'm curious what this building is and especially was. Solid brick walls, no storefront, Maybe an old fire station with a single door? And next to what was likely an elegant rowhouse. Are there neighborhood historical societies with info on the building stock?

Is this a good or bad area? Looks sketchy to me, but I don't know anything about cities.
