1997 850 Fuel Pump preventative maintenance?

Post by moses3 »

Some have recommended replacing the fuel pump at 150,000 miles as preventative maintenance.

Thoughts? Better to leave it alone? Opening a can of worms? One owner claimed the fuel pump died suddenly and without notice at 180,000 miles.

Seems like 150,000 is the point at which a few things might be ending their lifespans.
It is an easy repair, so maybe for peace of mind.....
Try to learn life's bad lessons vicariously through others.
