Found this picture the other day. Mom’s wagon in the background. There were rust holes your fist could fit through. If I remember correctly the sheet metal was made and ”rust protected” in Brazil. Think the production year was 1979. By looking at me I would say the car was 6-7 yo. Jeez.

My 1983 245 appears to be the same unusual color. It also has rust issues.

I think the governments obsession by pouring out salt on the roads greatly contributed to the demise of a lot of cars in Sweden. In the very northern parts it was pointless due to the (then) absurd amounts of snow. They lived a longer life.
It’s funny here in CA seeing old cars still rolling around that you remember from your childhood.
