Some of Mr. Browne's explanation may be a bit lost on non-pilots, but it should be obvious this was a very close call. A 767 could weigh over 350,000 landing, and it doesn't take long to cover 2 1/2 miles doing 150 knots.
FAA and NTSB both chimed in immediately; no comment from the ATC union yet.
(One of the objections raised about the 5G rollout was the very real possibility of those towers interfering with radar altimeters used during Cat III approaches; that would have had no bearing on this incident.)

A former head of the NTSB did an analysis from the ADS-B ( Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast ) data, and during a TV interview pointed out that the tail of a 737 is 41 feet tall; the data shows the FedEx plane didn't arrest the descent until it was 75 feet above the ground, and it was directly above the Southwest aircraft at that point. The FedEx crew earned their pay that day.

The detail he gives is incredible. Even as a 4 M mile flyer, I learned lots of stuff from him. Never knew there was an exclusion taxi zone for the ILS.

Just on CAT III runways, it seems, and even Mr. Browne was unsure about the off-antenna side of that runway.
Category III instrument landings are very specific; the crew, the aircraft, and the runway all have to be certified for those operations. It's very common practice in the Eurozone, especially places like Heathrow.
There's something to be said about the courage of airline pilots flying hands-off landings of massive jets doing north of 130 MPH with visibility on the runway measured in feet.
