07 V70 Bulbs Where to Buy?

Hi Everyone,
My 07 V70 113K burns through bulbs constantly. I now need a rear “park lamp” bulb; 5W; single filament; OEM 989762. Question… can I safely buy this bulb at local auto store, or better from a Volvo parts distributor? Advice much appreciated.

You can buy them at an auto parts store, but I'm curious why they're burning out so fast.

I’ve had good luck using Hella brand bulbs that I order from Summit Racing for a fraction of what the local auto parts stores get. But I have to buy in quantity so that the (reasonable) shipping fee doesn’t null out the cost savings, ha!

Look up what bulbs you need then buy them in bulk.

I buy quality bulbs online (Osram, Philips etc).
I buy using ebay most of the time.

Local auto parts: bulbs are mostly Chinese and expensive.

When I go to junk yard, I grab a whole bunch of bulbs for cheap.

Agreed - there are cheaply-made parts store bulbs and that may be part of your issue (?).

Get a tail lamp bulb kit at ipd.
