2005 XC70 compound turbo setup?

So I've been thinking of different turbo upgrades for my volvo and since the car only has 5 cylenders therefore I can't have two exhaust manifolds for two turbos, would it be possible to do a compound turbo setup with a high pressure turbo at the manifold and the stock low pressure turbo thats on it now after that.

Your transmission will be the limiting factor here. The automatic transmissions I understand have a max capability of around 320 bhp. So you would be able to get to that easily with a regular turbo and a tune. If you did away with the AWD and fitted a manual trans then you can go crazy.

Well you never really need performance parts but I still want them lol, I also just want to build something a bit different than what most people do to them.

Also im in ontario so what manual transmission or car can I pull one out of and how difficult would it be to swap to manual. Im sure there's forums explaining this already so ill go try find thoes in the meantime

For AWD manual transmissions you are limited. The 'spaceball' V70/S60 'R' are about it unless someone else wants to chip in. There was a manual trans in a 97 850 AWD but they are hard to find these days.

If you want to do away with the AWD then there are more options.

Yeah I would like to keep my awd as I am hoping to build the car into an offroad car but still has the capability to throw tires on it for the dragstrip but thats the end goal of the car once I swap the better 5 cylender into it
