Finally found a replacement for the wife’s Subaru Outback in the form of a beautiful XC 60 with 87000 kms, about 50k miles. I can only hope that it is as reliable and trouble free as the Subaru that never broke down or had any problems for 12 years! It’s definitely a nicer vehicle with more creature comforts and power, time will tell if it serves her well and doesn’t have expensive problems, fingers crossed.
I had originally wanted to replace it with a low mile P2 XC 70 but those are getting hard to find these days and expensive. Most, like mine have 300000 kilometres on them and have been neglected to some extent. The XC 60 is nice to drive, solid and tight and has some features reminiscent of my ‘03 like the seat memory and the unique font on the controls and radio, but it doesn’t feel very “Volvo” if that makes sense.
I’d like to know if anyone with an older P2 and an XC 60 has any experiences to share, good and bad about these newer generation Volvos.
Thanks.
Just picked up a 2014 T 6 XC60!

Following. I was looking for a newer Volvo as well but ended up with a different brand due to the oil consumption issue on the T5, 6 inline NA and new 4 cilinder drive E engines(2015,2016).
