IPD PCV kit
Over the years I've relied on member opinions regarding Genuine Volvo vs OE replacement part manufacturers. I'm a little disappointed to find my PCV tubes are cracked and leaking air/oil after 13K miles?. Purchase the kit from IPD and expected more life or is this a fluke? I don't need to be reminded to only purchase genuine Volvo
, money was tight and 400+ just wasn't an option.

About 10 years ago I got about 500 miles before a hose blew in a kit from IPD. It was the pipe from the side of the oil trap to the front of the block. Required pulling everything again and using a Volvo pipe as the original supplied in the kit was a good old 'URO' hose. They did drop using URO hoses in the kit for a while after that. All I got was the refund of the price of the hose!!

ipd still sells some UROnoxious stuff, that's liable to be what you ended up with.

IPD responded to my email and said that they apologize for the trouble/bad part and will discount any replacement parts. Fair enough since my kit was out of warranty.

FYI...IPD's "discount" cost for genuine Volvo replacement PCV parts are nearly identical to FCP Euro's list/sale price. Going with FCP for this and other reasons.

IPD has, unfortunately, really started putting a lot of sub-par parts into their kits. I bought a radiator replacement kit for my 96 R that was supposed to be good for turbo models and they sent me an Alibaba Chinese radiator for a NA, the core was significantly thinner and the intercooler didn't even mount up right. I needed a radiator so I installed it anyway but it's going to go in the garbage soon and be replaced with an actual Nissens for a turbo. That's not even getting into the fact that every hose was URO...
I also ordered a Rein engine mount and got an URO from them on a different order. Good times.

I bought that kit as well and almost around 12-13 month all the hoses started to disintegrate. I tried to leave a bad review on ipd website but it was blocking me from posting it. There is ukrainian proverb "gready man pays twice". I switched to FCP and could not be happier. Also lesson learned about OEM/OE hoses and other crucial parts. At this point I am questioning for how long IPD will stay in business since FCP is so much better with their warranty and customer service. Plus their "better than oem" is just...(lots of not kind language). Moral of the story stay away from those IPD kits. If you need some trim pieces or silicon rubber hoses for your TCV then shop at IPD, but for rest dealer or FCP.
