2010 XC60 T6 Does Comfort/Control Module require dealer programming?

Post by wingspan99 »

Hi guys, I just got a 2010 XC60 T6, really loving it. I had a 2004 V70 2.5T before this, loved that too. A problem is unlocking the rear hatch. The key fob won't unlock it, the inside switch near the fuel door switch won't unlock it, in fact the former owner installed a push button switch, that puts power to the Gray/brown wire coming out of the Comfort/Control Module, and that unlatches it. The touch switch under the rear hatch handle area does nothing as well. The module is also called the Fuse Control Module unit in European countries, I believe. If I replace this unit with a used one, will the new one need dealer programming to marry it? I can't find any reference to this requirement, but I know nothing about the MOST system (is that the right name?) . The #11 fuse for unlocking the rear hatch was blown, I got all excited, I replaced it, but no change. I suspect that the fuse was blown because the module's output for that wire was shorted internally? -Tom in Colorado

Image This is a pic of the module. It's behind the glove box.
