'05 s60R Whining noise after hard run
So after some spirited driving through the mountains (not gonna lie, i was giving her all she got) and upon slowing down I noticed this weird whining noise. I went to give it a little more gas and it seemed like I had no boost so i instantly thought I just blew the turbo. Luckily i was only a mile or 2 from my destination so i pretty much coasted the rest of the way there. After letting the car cool down, I removed the intake pipe to the turbo so i can check to make sure it was still spinning freely and didn't have a crazy amount of oil everywhere and there wasn't. I checked for loose/broken vac lines or turbo piping and all looked fine. So I started the car again and immediately as the car was high revving about to go into open loop the noise started and went along with the rpm's. I went to go for a test drive and I have all my boost, but even though I'm reading 10-15psi on my boost gauge, it almost feels like not all the boost is making it to the engine because it doesn't feel quite as powerful. So then I started thinking maybe angle gear but would that make a noise on startup? also, after the car warm up the noise became less noticeable and if I start the car while its still warm the noise doesn't happen, tho it does if I drive regardless. I have a video attached. Any help is appreciated!!

a stethoscope will locate the noise for you.

or try removing the serpentine belt to eliminate all the stuff on the front of the block.
I would suspect the turbo.

My old 92 GMC Safari van would develop a "whistle-whine" after driving 20 minutes. I carefully sprayed Carb Cleaner around stuff and when I got around the throttle body, the sound went away....temporary.
I took the throttle body out and sure enough, the gasket between the top and bottom was sucked in a little causing a reed instrument at a certain temperature. The van ran better than ever after that simple repair.
Back in the 70's, as a mechanic at a Porsche-Audi dealer, we used a Sun branded CO meter on every car for a final check. If you had a "problem" car with a vacuum leak, spraying Carb Cleaner around specific items could spike the CO meter helping you find the vacuum leak.
Now...Spraying Carb Cleaner around a hot engine was dangerous back then and still today. You have to be careful doing it and must remember that the Carb cleaner can ruin painted areas and blow around if a cooling fan kicks in.
I can't tell from your video clip if its a bearing whine or a vacuum leak.
Also, your video clip sucks...LOL
