Haha, its the only way I can rationalize having this many volvo's and keeping this car in a shed as opposed to the field. Got most of the tools for it outside of an engine crane. Its a nice place to spend a summer day. This was a copy and paste out of an older list I made.

Back in the 1970's/80's this is what I did for stress relief! Went out to the garage and pottered on one of our old cars and think of nothing else. Worked well as you soon forgot you any issues as you skinned your knuckles on a rusty bolt!

Would it be cheaper to rent an engine crane when you need one rather than buy one? I considered buying one but storing it is a pain, even if you get a collapsible version, but I need that space for other stuff like the hoist.........! :D

I recently heard (where have I been?), "The Dread is worse than the Doing", which rang true for me. I dreaded removing CV axles on my Toyota. The thought of jacking up the car, removing wheels, removing splash guards, disassembling the steering and suspension stuff, crawling under the car to hammer and pry out the CV axles, and replacing greasy rubber boots made me put the job off for weeks. When I finally went in to work, it only took an hour, or even less, to remove one cv axle. Having backup cars doesn't help.
It's blowby
