97 850 Wiring Harness Differences?

Post by Srini850 »

Hello! I have a 97 855R USA spec car that I am currently doing a manual swap on. The chassis has 200K+ miles and some of my wires are looking old. There is at least one ground wire coming off the harness that I have to extend. This is the one that attaches to the intake manifold approximately next to the dipstick with a ring terminal.

My harness seems to be missing a bundle of ground wires terminating at multiple ring terminals that mount to the block next to the knock sensors and PCV system. The engine has been out of this car for quite some time so I cannot remember if my car was always missing these or if they broke when I pulled the motor. The harness is relatively intact so my instinct is the 97 didn't use it but I want to be sure.

I have a 95 854 T-5R too and that harness has the multiple ground wires that get grounded to the block.

If you have a 97+ P80 Turbo could you check your harness to see if you have these ground connections?

Thanks!
