98 v70: foglight issue Topic is solved

Strange issue. I watched Robert's video on required steps to complete the foglight install. I have the green/yellow relay under fusebox lid, white lcr jumper and J jumper under the dash, and the foglight switch plugged in. Is there more than one harness near foglight to get confused with? New LED bulbs, new bulb insert sockets. tried a 2nd green/yellow relay. Im lost at this point.

Is there a fuse for the fog-lights? Should be fuse #18 I think. If the car did not come with them then there is no fuse. I'm sure you have thought about that but doesn't harm to ask!

I think I need to check that. I may have had a brain fart. Edit: I did check that before. Just did it again. Not blown. Going to jy tomorrow to look at 2 98 sedans. 1 t5 and 1 base. Im gonna at least grab the red hood to get rid of this silver one. Both 98s have foglights. I will snap pics and save all relevant relays. Also going to salvage a Dolby dash speaker and speaker cover. Definitely the speaker to harness wiring and harness to amp wiring.

It is speaker to head unit wiring in the case of the Dolby center speaker. You need to remove the center console to remove the amo to harness cable as it has 2 mounting tabs inside on the RHS of the inner console. To remove those make sure you take a flahmmight and needle nose pliers as you have to squeeze the barbs on the inner side.

When I got there, stereo and amp were gone. Dolby processor and speaker/grille still there. I took the grille even though it was brittle; was the only good part. Even the harness had been torn up/pulled. Other side was not there. A tornado must have whipped through that section. LOL This means I have to go back to Tulsa to grab those wires off of the passenger seat.

Edit: Im going to use my soldering iron on high and hold it next to the grille. MAybe it will restore that like it would restore an XC bumper.
