2006 xc70 replacing one tire?
2006 xc70 replacing one tire?
One of my front tires has wear on the inner edge. I will get it aligned and evaluated. Is it ok to replace only one front tire? The other is in excellent condition.

If it's AWD then you are stuck with buying 4 sets of tires every time regardless.

They generally recommend against that, unless the replacement is the identical model and same tread depth.

Many eBay sellers list tread depth, so you should be able to find the same model and same tread depth for replacement.

Go to used tire place and look for identical model and wear tire as on other side. I've just had to do it and had a hard time finding one. Eventually I found a single tire with similar wear from same manufacturer, Michelin, but different model, Defender v Latitude.
If you don't have time to look around (I did), then just a pair as that's probably easier.
