The 96 850 NA I have just sent home running again, has what looks like a bad LHF door check strap. I didn't have time to fix it this time around but checked if I had any used spares. I have some used spares, but they have 2 part numbers - Volvo OE # 9133340 and 9203196. They are both listed as fitting an 850. I seem to recall the first part number is the older design which had the 2 spring 'arms' which are the same length, and I seem to recall fan fit either FR or FL door just by turning it upside down.
The 2nd part number is sided and has one spring 'arm' much larger than the other. Hence the 'siding'.
Does anyone know if they have fitted either to an 850? I have a funny feeling the long/short arm version may not fit in an 850 door. I am happy to be told I am wrong. It has been good long while since I did one of these on an 850!
