2006 S60R Remote-On Power Lead for Amp in Trunk

Post by Ethan5150 »

Hi folks, I recently picked up an S60R and I've wired up an Infinity BassLink in the trunk. I used the bottom-right pin on the TRAILOR port as my remote on for the amp. I ran speaker wires (split from the fronts coming out of the amp under the passenger seat) into the high-level inputs on the amp/sub. The problem is that pin on the TRAILOR port takes a few seconds to power off once the car is switched off and during that time, the subwoofer goes nuts. It's not the end of the world but it it's definitely annoying. I'm wondering if someone has a better option for a remote-on wire to tap into in the trunk? I really don't want to run a wire all the way from the front of the car if I can help it. Short of a better remote-on wire option, I guess my 2nd question is; if I get a high-output to RCA converter, do you think that will solve the noise problem I'm getting using the high-outputs right into the amp?

Thanks for your thoughts!
