Alarm Module 2016 XC60 Driver Side or Passenger Side

Post by djcyclist »

I need to replace the Alarm Siren Module on 2016 XC60. I can't find anything on the internet regarding this repair for 2016. Several older models say the module is on the passenger side under the fender liner, but some of the parts sites for the 2016 say it's on the driver side. Given it takes a bit of work to remove the fender liner, it would be nice to know for sure what side it's on. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks for any help.

When I lock my car, the alarm chirp comes from the driver side.
If I paid attention to signs with little symbols I’d never find anywhere to park.

Alarm chirps seemigly emanating from the passenger side may as well be another diversion invented by the Swedish Elves as an additional theft deterrent (or just to add to our confusion...)
Example of Precision: Measure with a Micrometer, mark it with Chalk, and then cut it with an Axe.
Disclaimer: We (very) seldom do that
