99 v70 windshield washer with wipe mode will not turn off

Post by pfmet »

….after lifting stalk for quick rinse and wipe. I have in the last week disconnected and reconnected the HEADLIGHT wiper motors while doing some troubleshooting since I will be working on them soon. Not sure how that would effect that circuit. More likely the cause involves the TORRENTIAL downpour that inundated downtown this am as I was heading into an appointment. 5 mph was too fast at times . A lot of water getting thrown around especially by the trucks. I was anticipating something bad and much worse than this issue frankly.

Saw a 2011 post about relays and am headed out to start another round of troubleshooting. As if the SRS module project wasn’t enough. And I still have to put that new radiator in and fix the headlight wiper motors along the way.

Disconnected the erratically operating headlight wiper motors and all seem well. Wash mode operates as it should. Back to STS.
