Hello!
Can you help, please? I need to purchase an entire electronic gear shifter - the entire assembly.
The gear shifter hasn't been working properly. After a few attempts to repair without success, I found a repair shop that has been willing to thoroughly assess the issue (and the time it takes to do so). I received word today that I need to find the entire electronic gear shifter assembly. (The previous work clearly did not solve the problem and apparently did more harm.)
Thanks for your time and I hope you can give me some direction on where to go for this sizable part!

Please explain more what is needed and perhaps include a photo. I have had several 240s, but can not understand what electronic gear shifter is needed. Over drive switch?
