Fuel tank hose question 07 S40

Hi,
My son is working on a 2007 Volvo s40 we purchased and during repairs he damaged two hoses that connect to the fuel tank. One was the hose to filler and the other - we don't know what it does. We're trying to buy this mystery hose online. Can someone assist? See photos attached. The red arrow points to the opening to where the hose connects to. The bigger hole goes to the filler connector hose which we were able to buy.

We have a B5244S7, non-turbo fuel tank. We have scoured the internet and posted on other forums but can't find this answer.
