A family member returned my volvo after using it for a few weeks.
When I checked the engine I noticed the coolant cap had some cracks. I will order a new one, but is it safe to drive with it like this for ~2ish hours at a time until it gets here? Also, where should I get a replacement? Is the autozone one fine, or should I get something better?
The coolant reservoir looks a little chalky, I read this may indicate failure in the future. Does mine look fine?

If it was me, I would until the new parts arrived. Assuming the Autozone part will hold pressure better than a cracked OEM.

If you are cruising lightly you will be ok running your cooling system without pressure. It might help to turn your AC on which turns on your fan, and will keep temperatures down. Stop and go in heat will make your system go up to 230C and that will boil over
