2002 V70 XC AWD automatic transmission problems
2002 V70 XC AWD automatic transmission problems
Good morning all. I'm in dire need of assistance please. My car is a Volvo V70 XC AWD 2002 model with 360 000 km on the clock. (225 000 miles) Bought the car secondhand with a 3rd gear not engaging as a known problem. Car where drivable via tiptronic manual shift and just change quickly between 3rd and 4th. The 3rd gear didn't engage at all and the revs will simply skyrocket when in 3rd gear. Came across a post regarding the 27mm bolt and band situation and removed the mentioned no 4 solenoid and checked band, after assembly the band where back in place. Unfortunately that didn't fixed my problem with the 3rd gear situation. Because of the 27mm bolt removal I had the idea that they removed it to fill with gearbox fluid, and they did because it where filled to the top of the dipstick. So I drained the oil and filtered it while it where out just to catch some debris and refilled to its markings on the dipstick via the dipstick. Now for the main reason as this is just some background info. The car started to basically slip in all the gears and eventfully came to a complete stand still. I bought the Ancel VOD700 diagnostic tool specifically for the Volvo. If I live stream my transmission data all my solenoids is opening and closing correctly and when I compare mA readings they all fall within the same region. I can physically feel the gearbox engaging when in gear but it slips and have absolutely no power. When I'm in drive standstill and engage the AWD button I can feel everything disengaging, but as soon as I disengage the AWD button I feel it kicking in again, but still no power. Unfortunately I'm in a small community and mechanics working on auto trannys is extremely hard to find. My skill level is around 6 out of 10 so I'm able but I really need some input as new part replacement is not a viable option. Any and all help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

B4 band reconnection to anchor bolt is extremely hard through B4 servo port, if you mean that.
I think your best course of action is to drop the transmission, open it, reconnect B4 band and replace the filter.
