Identify this part - fuel system?

Hey guys, The top of this part flew off when I pressed on it. The engine was off, but ignition on. It seems like the plastic clips had broken off from age and pressure. I'm on vacation in FL, 1200 miles away from home, so I'm a little worried. I'm using the zip tie to keep it on but know this can't be a long term fix.

The part in question is the grey elbow with the brown plug at the end. Judging by the position, it's related to the intake. The previous owner had work done on it and the position does not look original. Any help is appreciated!

When the top cam off, the inside had a rubber diaphragm.

It's the switch for the brake vacuum pump part number 31400692 and yes it's in the correct location

Did this almost 5 years ago when 1clip broke and it still hold, may be will last for a longest time, hope this helps…

Thst zip tie will last for 10,000 miles or 16,000 kilometers…whichever comes first.

Now, that hose clamp on the other hand…needs a visit from the oetiker Brothers

It's also worth checking the vacuum pump is working as they are a common failure.

Turn key to position 2 (ignition on but engine off) press the brake pedal a few times and the vacuum pump should start up and build a vacuum in the brake system and stop once the system has sufficient vacuum. If no sound from the pump check fuse number 33 under the steering column (20amp) and fuse number 3 in the engine bay (15amp). It is possible to jump the pins on the brown plug with a fused jump wire to check the vacuum pump is operating.

Ah, thanks to everyone !
I'll try the hose clamp temporarily, as I try to source the part. Here in Orlando, there's several u pick and pull yards. Maybe I'll get lucky finding one

Thanks, that's an old picture from when I bought the car (wrong coolant in expansion bottle)
Doesn't look much different now but there's been a lot of work done and it now has Volvo green coolant

I was going to comment on the wiring routing around the top of the radiator on the previous picture but I see you've gotten it sorted out in the subsequent photo. Beautiful car and engine bay!
