Crank Locking Pin Tool does not seem to lock the Crank.

Post by 777funk »

I was thinking, get the engine in time and drop the pin in. However it doesn't seem to engage anything. The pin inserts the same within several degrees of the tick mark on the crank and on where the cams are aligned with their marks.

Am I missing something? It is a cheap Chinese tool (locking kit for cams and crank) for what it's worth.

You have to go back a bit and then until you can fully slide it in.

Try the back and forth but…

“ It is a cheap Chinese tool (locking kit for cams and crank) for what it's worth.”

There were some kits out that did not lock due to stacked tolerances.

Sigh. You know the solution
