Another DICE question

Post by cfoss1000 »

Hi all. Yes, I have searched but all the info I've found is a couple of years old...

I've installed VIDA as a vmware and it all seems good.

I need some advice on the DICE to buy. I've bought this type of thing off ebay before, and been burned.

Can someone link to a device that they know works?

Thanks,

Chay

There was a bad batch of Dice units around covid manufacturing times. The general sentiment was to purchase a JLR mongoose unit instead and it works just as well so long as you dont plan to do software downloads to the vehicle.

Does anyone know where to get a JLR mongoose unit that is cheaper than the one offered at diaglaptops.com?

I don't have firsthand experience with them, but from my understanding, some of them work great, some with limited capability, and others not at all. And there is usually no way to know before buying.
