New to Me 2016 XC70 T5 Platinum

Hi All. I'm about to pick up a new-to-me 2016 XC70 and have some questions. It's my fifth Volvo, second XC70 and third wagon, so a lot is familiar. But there's a decade of engineering between this one and my last so I need to get up to speed. I have a T5 in it (b5254t12) with 106K miles and I have my fingers crossed that it isn't guzzling oil but everything seems to be running smoothly. I have had good experiences with the dealer in the past, so I trust them as much as you can trust a used car dealer when they say that there isn't an oil problem. I have a great independent mechanic and will be taking it to him to look over. Anything in particular I should have him look for?

My biggest learning curve is with all the tech that I didn't have before. This is the Platinum and loaded with literally everything that could have been added on top. Can someone please explain Sensus and Volvo On Call for this car in 2023? I read that there is an issue with 3G coverage, but also that you can have it log into your home wifi if the signal reaches the driveway, or I can tether to my iPhone? I don't have any information about subscriptions, so I assume that they have all lapsed. My gut is saying I don't need a Sensus subscription and should just connect my iphone with Bluetooth and it should get the job done for nav and music? Should I leave a USB stick in and use that as a music library? And for Volvo On Call, is this totally dead? No remote start or anything through the app? What about SOS?

I've read a lot of threads, but would appreciate hearing up to date information about what I can expect. Thanks!

Hey @hooger158 - did you ever figure this out? I’m considering a 2015.5 xc70 T6 platinum, and have the same questions (going from a 2002 V70 2.4T).
