2004 V70 Window moulding

Post by weitau »

My passenger front window moulding keeps rising out of the track rack each time I raise the window. I've tried 3M trim adhesive and it only lasted a few months.

Any suggestions?

.
The rubber should be embedded with metal structure to shape and hold it in the groove / slot. Remove and pinch the metal narrower / tighter before re-installing.

It's been a while since my last post, but I finally got a permanent fix.

I looked at the moulding on the other side of the car. The front edge of the window moulding was tucked under the side mirror housing.

So I used a plastic pry tool, lifted the mirror housing just enough to slide the window moulding underneath. sprayed the moulding where it touched the glass with silicon, and called it a day.
