98 v90: facebook mp find (e of Houston) wiring issues?

98 v90: facebook mp find (e of Houston) wiring issues?
Sooooo. I found something interesting. This v90 in the perfect color match (minus some steering wheel wood trim) with third row seats. Trans has issue I guess, so some auto shop told seller this vehicle is known for wiring issues. This is news to me because that sounds like a common Chrysler problem from about... 2005-present. Am I right to have a bs alarm going off with a fishy smell? Maybe the trans just needs replacing? Is there such a thing as TCM needing programmed? I thought TCM/ECM on -98 volvos were plug and play a long as the TCM has the correct part number.
