This is my first post in literal years. It's amazing how rock solid these new Volvos are.
My V60 is at 115,000 miles and due for the timing belt. I'm looking at the recommended service and it suggests timing belt and tensioner pulleys at 120,000. It also lists a ton of other items that I have already done myself, plugs, filters, brake flush etc.
I normally do not change the pulleys unless I find play in them. I have always done water pumps (on my 850,V70, V50,).
Thoughts from other owners would be appreciated. I'm thinking about letting the pump go. Do these have a history of pumps going out? before the second timing belt service?

My kids 2002 S60 2.4T had the water pump bearing go out at 188k miles. My Indy shop said it was as close as they’ve seen to not losing the timing belt. Cheap insurance and you are right there.
