I decided to get serious about correcting P0505. No weird idling, and the car runs ok. Surges to 1500 RPM when the car starts, immediately holds steady at roughly 1000 RPM. I cleaned the IAC with MAF sensor cleaner and q-Tips last night. While looking at the throttle cable, I noticed that it may be missing a tensioning nut of some type? I think there should be one more piece toward the firewall, where the cable connects with the mounting area. Picture and video below.

Also wondering, what is a good way to lubricate the springs associated with the throttle cable?

That throttle cable looks like it's at the end of its life,
I just replaced mine a few weeks ago, due to the cable hanging up inside the sheathing. It adjusts by threading the square piece that slips into the mounting bracket.
