2001 S60 cranks but doesnt want to start (hesitates?)

Post by Rait »

Hi, im having a issue with my 01 s60 that just doesnt want to start. It ran fine couple of weeks ago but now it just cranks but hesitates to start, even tried with some starter fluid and got nothing. When i started diagnosting i found that i had around 11 psi of fuel pressure in the fuel rail, changed to filter nothing changed, changed the pump and kaboom we have fuel pressure again (around 47psi after priming) but still doesnt want to start. Tested the spark plugs and coils but they were all fine, changed the spark plugs because they were pretty dirty and old already which i had to change anyway. Compression test was a success aswell nothing wrong with that. Connected my scan tool and got nothing, went over every single one of the fuses and relays but they were all fine aswell.
Pretty sure it cant be the crank/camshaft pos. sensor cause the rpm gauge responds when cranking so it feels like im running in circles at this point.
Added a video what my situation looks like while cranking.

Stupid question, but could it have tripped the immobilizer. You need to unlock and relock the drivers door a few times to reset it. I did this once on my car after cleaning the MAF with maf cleaner.

It sounds like a fuel issue. The dash shows that you barely have any fuel left. Try adding a few gallons and priming a bunch of times. Also, your battery may be low due to cranking it so much, so try charging the battery or jump-starting the car.
