1997 S90

Hello all.

Does anyone have a source for a brake booster for a '97 S90? I put an aftermarket unit, made by "MTC", and it failed within several months. It looks like there's only aftermarket units available, so does anyone have some experience with these and can recommend a decent one?

Bortons Volvo seems to have OEM but it is quite dear at $916.66 (Assuming I have the correct part)

There is also this from a German company called Skandix, it's 252 euros (not sure how much USD that would be), they're a reputable company, but their shipping costs can be high. Maybe also double check part compatibility. https://www.skandix.de/en/spare-parts/b ... r/1036111/

Personally, I had mine go out on me some years ago, on my 940, and it took me a couple replacements and warranties on refurbished ones to find a good one that has serviced me well for the past 4 years or so.

If you have the original, perhaps a shop which can refurbish it for you might be another route to go? I think it'll be around $400 for that...it might be a good idea to see if there's any kind of warranty on the finished product.
