Just today I got new error codes, a few hours after installing the (old/original) ECM. ECM-9520 and ECM-918F all related to AP sensor. But I've also read it could indicate a failing or failed ETM.
When pressing the AP the response is slow. I am doing datalogging and seeing that if I flick the accelerator pedal even fully pressed and release quickly, the analog AP values do increase but the ETM is either slow or doesn't respond, but if I hold the AP for longer the throttle plate is reacting perfectly and there are no issues with RPMs.
The ECM was out of the car for a while, around 24hrs so I may need to remove it again and spray contact cleaner on it as well as the breakout box and maybe ETM harness. But if this doesn't fix it, am I looking at an ETM problem or AP sensor? Magnetti marelli, white label.
No limp mode btw, I can rev the engine above 3000 RPM just fine and the Requested throttle and effective throttle are nearly perfectly in sync. Another curious thing is if I press the brakes, the Accelerator stops working, I read this was a safety feature and not a problem.
UPDATE: The contact cleaner was not effective, so perhaps the issue is real. One thing I have not checked is the A/C compressor fuse. Was AC Compressor fuse
New codes. Slow accelerator response! ETM? Topic is solved
