1998 S70 Odometer Missing...

Hello-

So I changed the battery in the my '98 S70 the other day. I noticed after I put the radio code in, the Odometer is gone. Not registering at all. The trip on is on and works. I read and read through the posts and found a few I thought might be a fix, but the problem is different from all the others because the speed gauge is registering, or the lcd wire is cracked and not functional...

I noticed when I was trouble shooting, if I disconnect the battery, and reconnect, the odometer pops up...it looks like in testing mode...looks like it is cycling through a testing procedure. then it disappears. Blank, with the trip milage still registering.

Could it be a module in the Antilock breaks the other odometer issues speak about?...but then why would the trip work?

Anybody run in to this issue?, and is there another way to read the milage for oil changing purposes,

I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but today when I went to reset the service light...by pressing the trip computer holding, turning the key to position II, and waiting... it would not reset....

The 98 DIM seems to have fewer issues as Xemodex and others do not show pricing or have a category for its repair.

The odometer in my 98 is also nonexistent. I bought it at auction eight years ago, it wasn't there when I bought it.

Do you know if the odometer mileage is independent of the cluster or needs to be transferred like the P2's?
