Oil level sensor on early 850

Oil level sensor on early 850
Hi, today I noticed my Volvo 850 has an oil level sensor installed in the front of the oil pan but it's not connected to the harness, it's a 1993 T5 I think is one of the first t5s produced but I dont know exactly , can I make the oil level sensor work in any way or is missing the wiring needed for it?
