'98 V70 AWD manual swap donor compatibility

Me, being a complete glutton for punishment, have been cruising FB marketplace for wrecked sedans or wagons with a manual trans.
A pos 2000 S60 R popped up and got me pondering this.
Is there any way to manual swap and keep the AWD?
What vehicles would be compatible? Are they complete unicorns?

You could buy these in Canada, because the Creator rewarded them for figuring out health care

2000 S60R? Were they not made from 04-07? AS to if it can be swapped I have no idea. They used an angle gear to move power to the back like the P80's. You would have to use the 98 angle gear as it had a different size flange to later cars. As to if it would fit the splines to the gearbox I don't know. You may have to use the axles from the 98 but if they will work from an auto with the S60 manual trans I don't know.

You will then have to look at some way to get the clutches to match up.

There have been manual swaps done over the years but not sure about later cars to earlier.

We did get the 850 AWD up here which only came with a manual trans. There are still some kicking around.

Europe on the other hand got many manual trans versions we did not. My buddy in Germany has a 98 V70R manual from the factory.

Thanks for that. I wasn't talking about that car specifically, just any years / models that would work for donors.

Double swap, several issues you wouldn't have to deal with.

Seems Dan has a thread on swedespeed about the build.
Robert has used later manuals for swaps, dunno if any came from S60s. Spaceball shifter would look zoomy.

Turns out it isn't a 2000 S60, it this:

Bolt in. You just need the angle gear stuff for the transaxle. Get everything off the donor car, if you're not getting the whole car. Watching one of Robert's vids about manual swaps would be a good refresher; things like the clutch pedal switch and such. Start a thread ?

What does "just needs the angle gear stuff for the transaxle" mean exactly?
There's a spot for it on the trans but no output shaft thingy?
Edit: can the missing parts be removed from the slushbox?
