So back to the old days of 3K miles oil changes or an oil analysis. Really, really informative and the last word on oil from Lake Speed Jr.
Also, good fuel matters. Having used Premium in all my cars longer than I can remember, never had a spark plug or combustion related issue once I got the car to Stage 0.
Lastly, use the appropriate viscosity for the correct ambient temp.

Good fuel is always a must. Getting a fuel pump clogged or clogging fuel injectors is not worth the price. Plus, remember what ethanol can do over time, as it attracts moisture and water. This can result in rusting of components and a gelatinous type of build-up in the fuel tank.

For the oils, here is a good post about good oils to use in the XC90 gas engines. With the XC90 weighing 300-500lbs more than a comparable S60, the engines go through more load all the time.
