2009 C70 part identify help please

Hi , Wife's car leaks when it rains, look for drains and junk in roof section seams, see nothing. Appears no leak when AC is on. Pulled plastic cowel cover under hood, see nothing.

When it rains, water drips on passenger side from round cylinder with hose on outboard end. This is located behind glove box, easily seen looking under, with no parts removed.
I realize water could just be landing on this but unsure if part of a roof drain system.

All ideas appreciated. Thank you
